WE started engine mounting with mock up 351w block!! I'm using .250"thick aluminum mid plate and hanging it from moly tube mounted to frame and front plate is also .250" thick alum. I'm using Danny Bee belt drive so plate has to be mounted in front of it!! cant go behind!! Had to cut front sump off canton alum. pan to clear AJE cross member, so I have to run an external oil pump now!!! But's that better any how.

Have you considered using a rear sump pan so you can use a standard oil pump?

The external oil pump is alot better for drag racing, keeps oil pres. more consistant!! Plus I already payed alot for that pan!!

Looks like fun getting headers to fit. Also looks as if the rack is mounted so far forward that the tie rods are at a pretty good angle. That angle changes as you steer the car, just gotta be sure that the inner tie rod ends don't bind when it's turned either way. Also, it'll have a bit more bump steer than I'd care to see with the angles as severe as they are. I ran into these same problems when I did mine, but I had to move a few things around to make it all fit. I ended up moving the engine rearward 5" and making a new firewall. Glad I did--everything fits much better now, headers, motor plates, everything.

Great work, keep the pics coming!

Tie rods not hooked up, realy no angle at all!!And I have all the room in the world for headers!! that's why I went through all this trouble!!!! Headers are being custom built step, stainless for this car...I'll post pics when there in..
