Ok, so I got my sport mirrors mounted and this is how they look.

The passenger mirror looks really good. It's nice and level. The driver's side mirror is not even close to level. With the mirror off the door the sheet metal looks a little warped, as if someone pushed the old mirror. If I apply pressure below the sport mirror it comes closer to level. Does anyone have suggestions on how to tweak this so it looks better?

If you can't see a major deformed area on the door it's most likely that the mirror housing has been deformed a little and causing it to look crooked when mounted. I'd remove the mirror housing from the pedestal and look there. You might get lucky and be able to bend it out, if not put some shims between the pedestal and the housing enough to raise it to level. Nobody will ever see it.

Both bases have Maverick part numbers. The passenger housing (the straight one) has a mustang number. The driver's side remote housing has a Maverick part number. They are all the same color and appear to be original paint so I assume they came that way.
