I really have been wanting to move the nitrous bottle to the inside of the car. I briefly mentioned it to a few people and didn't get flamed for it so here are some pictures of where my options are . . . what you guys think?

Or maybe a little further back

Or the back seat. Will need to install a little surface for it to bolt to though.

I'd rather have it mounted in the trunk....

dude, im so impressed with how you have taken your car to the next level, you dont mess around, nice setup ,im always checking out your posts, and i like how you always try to get the right info before taking on a new up grade, when your complete or at least close, because who ever is finshed ,theres always something new to add,but anyway you will have a super bad car for sure, count me as someone who respects you alot....jay

You may already know this, but here's what the NHRA says in the rulebook.

Commercially available NOS permitted, including supercharged and turbocharged engines. Nitrous bottle in drivers compartment must be equipped with relief valve and vented outside of drivers compartment. Bottle must be stamped with a DOT-1800 pound rating and must be permanently mounted. Hoses from bottle to solenoid must be high pressure steel braided or nhra accepted hoses. Commercially availablr, thermostatically controlled, blanket type warmer accepted. Any other externally heating of bottle prohibited.

I don't have a good picture to show but we put a really nice setup with braided hose lines to vent to the outside. The bottle is 1800 rated as well. I am debating the back seat vs. the hump.

why not have it hanging from the part of the roolcage between the seats with some kinda U bolts or weld a flat pice of steel to the bar and bolt the holder bracket to it

i think that would be cool but would it be NHRA approved

I don't really like any of those choices... but if I had to pick one I would say the furthest back position on the tunnel or the backseat.

I'd recommend the passenger or drivers side rear floorboard with the bottle facing towards the hump for ease of getting to it and opening/shutting the valve.

I have run them both ways depending on which class I was running in, and I prefer it inside the car where I can reach the valve. Make sure and plumb the relief valve outside the car.

I like to have my trunk available and I like the look of the bottle inside the car. And with the bottle inside I save $200 for a remote bottle opener.

I like the idea of putting it behind one of the seats, I'll go see if it will fit, might be nice that way.

I wanna beat my brother-in-law's 911 turbo, then I will rest peacefully :). I took it down the track N/A and it did 106mph but mid 14's et. No nitrous yet, need those sticky tires first. I promise to slow down . . . a little.
