Anyone using the export brace kit from MPG Head Service, Inc on their Mavericks? I spoke to them today and they say that they sell the ones for the 65-70 Mustangs to the Maverick guys but they are not a direct bolt on. Is this the right kit for our cars and what is required to make it work? Thanks.

    Gene,
I bought one because I thought I could use it to get around my EFI intake. It would not. I had an 1/8 sheet of aluminum cut out with a waterjet so that I could move the bulkhead mounting points outward. Then it worked out nicely. I did not use the shock mount or the quick release pins either.

If I remember correctly, the bulkhead mount and the shock mount would work on a stock car but required re-drilling of the mounting points.

Micah, do you remember which export brace kit you purchased?

Drove mine once without the supports, felt like the front end was gonna fall off.
