I have a 9" in my car and if I remember correctly it's a little narrower on either side being about 1/4" (can't find my paperwork) I have a set of 26x10.5 et streets ordering rims now since I can't find any used. 4" backspace sound about right? I want to keep it in the wheel well with no rubbing

If the rear is narrower than stock I'm pretty sure the tires will hit the leaf springs with 4" backspace(assuming you're talking about 15 X 8 rims). I have stock rear right now with 15 X 8 Welds with 3.5 backspace and 26 X 10 tiresand I need about 3/8" spacers to keep the tires from hitting the springs.

A 15x8" with a 4" backspace is perfect for the standard Maverick rearend width.

I don't know the width of the rear you're running, so I cannot say whether or not they will work well.

The tires will rub on the fenders when turning.

Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
i run 15x8 with a 3.5 backspace and a ET STREET 26x10.5. outter fender needs to be rolled. but other then that it is fine. your issue is you are not using a stock rearend so only you can really tell what you can use.

Hey I just wanted to let you know that I gave wrong information earlier in this thread. I measured my wheels today while I had them off and my backspace is 4.5" NOT 3.5" like I said earlier. And I'm using spacers that are about 3/8". The tires are only about 1/4" from the leaf springs but have plenty of clearance everywhere else. I'm really sorry if I messed you up in any way, it wasn't intentional!
