mustang 2

    what kind of transmitions came out of mustang 2s? my buddy is brining me a 5 speed out of one with a v8? any idea's? will that 5 speed fit my mavy?

    I didn't know they ever came with 5-speeds. I do know that they came with C-4 automatics and 4-speed manuals...

    I really don't want to admit it but i remember when these cars were new. As far as a 5 speed, I don't think they had them, I know they had 4 speeds, and C4s. But they had a odd ball bell housing, Had like a 137 tooth flywheel or something in that neighborhood. But i do know some of the automatic V8 cars had 8 inch rears with 3.55 gears.

    okies thanks for the help, with some luck the car may have been a regular mustang if so that would be a t5 tranny, he just had the trans sitting in the garage taking space, guess i'll find out what is it on monday

    1966 Mustang, 1972, 73, 73 and 73 Mavericks
    Didn't the later model 5.0 Mustangs have a five speed? I know the classic Mustangs didn't have more than four gears from the factory but I was under the impression that late model stangs had a five speed.
