    Hi All,

I'm not on any Mustang forums, so where's a good place to look for a used 65 - 69 Mustang dashboard? I've been looking at alternatives for my '63 Rambler and these Mustang dashes look almost bolt-in, plus they have a lot of aftermarket support...

    TIA!

I don't know if even Mustang forums would be much help in finding out if you could convert one to a Rambler. Your best bet might be finding a Mustang with an owner who'd let you take some measurements.....maybe do an image search for "stripped Mustang dash" to get a better view of the "raw" dash frame to help you see how/where it might best be removed/installed. Considering there's a lot of complete bodies being reproduced.....Dynacorn or some of the other restoration parts manufacturers might be making repop dash frames, and the trim and instrumentation can be found used (ebay/craigslist) or NOS from any of the hundreds of Mustang repo companies

I LOVED the dash and instrumentation layout in my 70 Mach-1 Mustang......often wondered how hard it would be to put one in a Maverick

That's essentially what I was looking for, dimensions and availability used. At least one of the Mustang parts houses had them new, but at $499 I'm not gonna chance it...

Only the 1969-70 Mustang and Cougar metal dash panel can be unbolted (Cougar and Mustang are the same). 1965-66 and 1967-68 Mustang dash panels are welded into place.
Structurally there are 4 different dash panels 1969-70. Dynacorn reproduces a 1969 with air conditioning holes pre-made. I am not sure about 1965-1968 reproduction dash panels.

Glad to see the later dashes unbolt. The biggest problem with the stock dash (aside from being bug-fugly) is that the steering "notch" needed to be moved 2" towards the door after swapping for some late-model buckets. After that, the main dash face needs to be cut out and modded for a nicer cluster. The Mustang stuff is approx the same width, depth, and curvature as the Rambler. Not looking for a "bolt-in", just something close...
