Does anybody know if Mustang strut rods will fit into our Mavs? I found a site that offers performance adjustable rods for a Mustang (http://www.streetortrack.com/adjustable-strut-rods.asp), but nothing for a Maverick. Global West also offers some really nice rods for Mustangs (http://www.globalwest.net/mustang_1964%20-73%20catalog.htm#Adjustable%20strut%20rod%20kits), but only rod bushings for us. Thnx!
Mustang strut rods will not fit in our cars without MAJOR modifications.....however, there are several companies now that make spherical bearings that will work with our strut rods.
I had one break once and I'd swear the replacement part had a 70 mustang part number on it?D0ZZ****** something. maybe it was mis-tagged?
Maybe some year models will cross over, I just didn't think that they had the curve at the control arm end.......the guy that designed my strut rod bearings said that the mustang version would not work with a Mav/Comet. Hey Chris, I bet your new one doesn't have strut rods!!! :evilsmile
those are the things that hold up the hood right? I cant say about whatever aftermarket stuff may or may not work, but for stock replacement I'm 99% sure that the 70 stang is the same part#
