    does anybody did a 8.8 rear end swap without doing anything on the rear end?
    i want to put 8.8 in the car i got the rear end.

    yes got one in, but didnt drive it yet.
    96 explorer, 3.73 posi, cut around 3" off the long side, put other short axle shaft in, welded new leaf spring supports on, adapted sway bar, and all new brake lines, bearings and everything...

    yeah i got the rear end from 97 explorer is it gonna fit without cutting it?

    I am wondering if that fan setup is going to be up to the task keeping the car cool w/ so much of the core not in position of having air forced through it. If it's a street car; I believe it will have issues in slow summer, city traffic.

    those fans are going to be in addition to the belt driven fan on the other side of the radiator. I doubt they would come close to handling the job alone.

    They also block a lot of the radiator.
