First off, let me say I am NOT affiliated with the company Steeda, however my experience was so good with them I had to share.

My Maverick came with a T5 and Steeda Tr-Axe shifter, as I was driving home from school one day, shifting from 1st to 2nd, my shifter went limp...I thought I had a snapped a shift fork or something. Upon having the car towed home, and taking the shifter apart, I had discovered the solid steel shaft that goes into the shift shaft had snapped IN HALF. (see picture)

Since this was my daily driver, I welded it back up and gingerly drove it for the next few days. For giggles I decided to contact Steeda to see if they had that part, and could sell it to me, I wasn't expecting anything under warranty because I never bought anything from them.

The rep said that they no longer made that shifter, that it was at least 15 years old...HOWEVER he said for the price of parts, if I sent them my old shifter, they would send me their newest model. I thought this was a great deal considering the situation.

So after they received my shifter and took a look at it, they said they would NOT be charging me ANYTHING but shipping for the new shifter.

So to sum up this rather long post, Steeda REALLY stand behind their product, I'm sure this was a fluke with one of their early models, since there are so many positive reviews on this shifter. So if you are looking into shifters (or whatever else they sell) and want a company that stands behind their product, I recommend taking a look at Steeda...
