hi everyone,i got my wiring hooked up,everything works except the brights on the headlights.when my headlights are on,the dims work, but when i switch them to bright, they both go out.switch them back to dim and they work.does this sound like a ground problem,or a bad switch?turn signals, hazzards, and running lights work fine.any help is appreciated.chuck.

No, doesn't sound like a ground problem. The low beams should go out when the brights are activated, that's normal. It could be a problem with the hi beam switch on the floor or even possibly with the headlight switch itself. Make sure your hi beam circuit was wired completely if you made repairs to the wiring and there's no break in the circuit.

use a test light, and check to see if you have power @ the high beam terminal, when the highs are on. possible causes are both high beam elements blown. If you don't, then see if you have power out of the hibeam switch, if you don't, it's the switch, if you do, then it's a break in the wiring.
