    i have a 74 mav thats smurf blue but the paint is oxidising and there are a few rust spots any way can i get a few suggestions on what color to paint it

    I have a Grabber Green car...have to change the batteries in the paint about twice a year!!!!

    Missing my old '70 Maverick
    .... just remember, it's a lot easier to go back to the original color than changing the entire car color (paint chips show original color, changing from original color requires a LOT more prep work - more surfaces to paint if doing it 'right' - like underneath the hood, trunk, cowls, etc).

    I think the Smurf Blue would look good with some dark blue Grabber stripes. That way, it won't be so bland and you won't have to put the car on a rotiserie (to change the color the right way).

    get some rubbing compound and wax and give it a good once-over, you might be supprised at how good it looks when you are done.
