My New 73 Comet Red-Blue

I am waiting on the the car to ship next week. I have pictures that Jon (seller) sent me.

Comet - Red-Blue

I plan to add a 250-I6 with a Classic Inline aluminum head, 4 barrel and cam. Probably add A/C. Clean up the paint and detail the under body.

Can't wait to get it.

Dave, some of your comments made me buy the car. Especially "if it had black interior". I like to be different.

That's a good thing! It was an inside joke between me and the seller.

It's an awesome car, you'll be very happy with it.

Kinda weird it has the "Canada Transport" sticker on it, usually only cars built for shipment to Canada would have that, they must have been really asleep at the wheel, the day that car was built..

 

Dibs on any of the interior you decide to get rid of

Did somebody ever get a Marti report on this car? I don't recall.

The Marti report lists the car with black interior. The build sheet found in the car list the interior with "B B". I think that is for the blue interior.

I am going to send the build sheet to Marti and have them run the number with a Red exterior and Blue interior. It may be the only for 1973 or ever.

Cool color combo. I almost bought a nice all original 79 Firebird that was blue with red interior once.

The Comet arrived today about 4pm. At 8PM I took on it's first test drive, 180 miles two and a half hours to Huntsville, TX. Cruised at 70 to 75 MPH on 1/2 a tank of fuel.

I am very happy with the Comet.
