I went out to my 1976 Maverick (that I got for free!!) tonight to assess the situation and to hopefully get it started. Here is what we found....(my buddy and myself) The front bumper, passanger side door, and grill are not on the car. After looking around the property we found the bumper, bumper brackets, the grill, a bad door to replace the missing one on the passanger side (but it's better than nothing), and a nicer driver side door and driver side finder than what is on the car. Other than surface rust, the car appears to be rust free. Then on to the task of getting the engine running. Had to rig up temporary gas lines to a gas can, (didn't seem to want to prime) had to replace spark plug wires and roter bug, (stole them from a 351 windsor that I want to put in the car) the distrubtor cap didn't have a one on it to let me know which one was first, so put the engine at top dead center and used that as number one. I know I had good spark, but still could not get her to run. How do you know where tdc is on the distrubtor? Could the windsor rotery button be throwing me off? Had to bypass heater core due to hose missing. Other missing parts (as of right now) powerstearing pump and master cylinder (they just cut it out with a pair of pliers I have to repair the tubing). As of right now that is all I know. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thank You,
    Ches in Reeds Spring
