My new Project 73 Comet

    I just got A 1973 mercury comet and I plan on restoring it back to original. it is a luxury model and had a vinyl top but that has since rusted off. mostly all the parts are there but everything needs work. it has the 302 V8 and I think its a GT but I don't know much about comets or mavericks so I need all the help i can get...

    I can tell you for sure it is NOT a GT. Looks like a LDO package to me. (Luxury Decor Option)

    then do you know why it would say CG under model on the pink?

    Only the California DMV could tell you that. Has nothing to do with it being a GT or not.

    My 73 Maverick Grabbers, California title says "SD" under model....It must be some code they use...
