Made 3 runs on the new engine. Blew the tires off of it all 3 runs.
    first pass 1.90 60ft., 8.14 ET, 93.94 Mph
went downhill from there. I've got to work on the traction.

i believe that mph should be in the low to mid 7's. when you get some traction you should drop the et by quite a bit.:)

I agree...with that MPH you should be well into the 7's. Probably deep into the 7's. Looks very promising!!

Thanks for the encouragement Gentlemen. It's been a year since I've been to the track with it, so the driver needs to get rid of some cobwebs too.

We have MT ET Streets w/ 20lbs psi on the first pass. 2nd pass 15 lbs psi, went 8:34. 3rd pass 25 lbs psi, went 8:25.
Also have homemade Cal-Trac type bars. Did some adjusting on passenger side for last run. 3:55 posi diff.
Everyone said I was smoking the tires to 1/2 track all passes.

    are you running tubes?
Also, do you know how much your car weighs?
that sounds like a lot of air pressure......but I have never ran with ET Streets so I probably do not know what I am talking about.

    My :2cents:

Although the mph is very encouraging, I'm not as optimisitic about the e.t. as others. My guess would be 7.5-7.7ish (based on my experience doing 101mph @ 7.2" in a Fox Mustang).

Also, if you're smoking the tires "halfway down the track" at 15psi, you definetly have a weight transfer issues. What shocks do you have (front and rear)?

I've had to go as low as 12.5 in a heavier car - but I was leaving on a 150shot of Nitrous in a similar setup!

Sounds like you've got the makings of a very quick car nonetheless!

Very impressive numbers. Good job. I'm having a hard time resisting the urge to go faster.

I agree with Rick, et and mph do not go hand in hand, but with the first motor I in PINKY she went 7.70's @ 84-86 mph.....so you definitely have some power with the mph you are running, now the tough part of going fast (quick) getting everything to work together :).

NIce numbers you will deffinetly get it going low 7's. Mine generally goes 7.20's with that kind of mph.

yep your 60ft says it all... no traction ;) your cars 5 mph faster then mine and i run in the 7.70 - 7.60s all day long.. ok well not all day... but the 4 times they let me go down the track that is ;)

i ran the M/T et streets before i changed to the M/T et street drag radials. i always ran about 12 pounds of pressure. what rpm are you leaving at? i left at about 2200 rpm after doing about a 5 second burnout. never had any problem with spinning but if i went higher i had a problem holding it on the line. :) :burnout:

My car with the 302 was right at 94mph and the ET was consistently in the mid - high 7.30's with a 1.55 60' time.
