    I know this is a Maverick Comet site but you guys might like to see my Ranger at the strip.
    It is powered by a 351w block bored and stroked to 440 cu in 728 hp

    The ranger is an 83 the engine is a dart block, aluminum rods, je pistons, yates heads, jessel rockers that I built.

    Don't know about the hemi but we both run Super Gas class which is a 9.90 index for a 1/4 mile 6.30 in 1/8.
    my best 1/4 was 9.76@145 best 1/8 5.92@112

    I had an '84 Ranger with a EFI 302 motor and T5 trans out of a '89 Mustang. It was a fun truck!

    Mine started life as a 4 cyl 4 speed. Later it got a turbo 4 cyl from a mustang. Then a 302 c4, then a 351c with a power glide. Now a tube chassis and a well built stroker.
    You are right they are Fun!!!!!!!!

    The guy that has mine now has taken the fuel injection off and changed to a C4. He also put a 150 shot of nitrous on it. His best 1/8 mile time so far is a 6.94.

    bb466s son has a Ranger w/ a 408 in it,turns high 9s,qtr.,they are verylight at about 2200.
