I just installed a side exit exhaust system on my Comet. I used Dynomax mufflers that have inlet and outlet on the same side of the muffler(in and out on the FRONT). I have a 120 degree(approx) bend on the exit pipes terminated with a nice set of Dr. Gas tips that transition from 2.5 round to oval. I put this setup together myself because all of the other side-kits out there only had pieces of what I wanted. The Dynomax muff's have a great deep sound and are almost silent at cruise; they are available from Summit racing for $45 each, I think. I also used one of their h-pipe kits; it was around $40. The tips took me forever to find and are NOT in Dr.Gas' catalog or online. You'll have to call them to order. They are not cheap at $170.00 a pair, but I like 'em:bouncy:
Overall, the system is just what I wanted and it sounds killa'

My set up is very similiar ,except I used spin tec mufflers. I love side exit exhaust. Sounds killer. Get a sound clip or video up(y) I had to notch my sub frame connectors to get better fit and ground clearance. Do you have sub frame connectors?

I dont have subframe connectors, and probably wont. Dr Gas makes the "frame clearance" tubes, which are just flattened out a bit for about a 3" span of the pipe
    I'll work on a sound clip :)

could you try to get the underside view somehow? and did you have to bend anything to make it fit?
