    guy that sold me the 351 also GAVE me this. said it came out of a running car years ago. i think its a C4?

    I'm no expert but it looks like a 74 c-4, big bellhousing to me. And it's got an 82 mod to it. I'm sure Paul will be on in a while to tell us what it really is.:)

    ya, the D4 and E2 part numbers had me a little confused too

    Can't see if the pan is deep or not - No way to tell the date without the numbers of the two circles above the shift lever. If you can post a picture of the front without the converter in it I can tell if it a big bell housing or not. If it has a pane that is about 1 2/4" - 2" deep then it is most likely a C5 - convert to C4 with a 70 or later valve body and a new bell housing and converter. ( or use the same bellhousing and a C5 converter). Either way it has all the good stuff in it so it is a VERY GOOD core at least.

    i'll definatly get some more pics up and i know for a fact that the bell housing is biger then the bell on the c4 that was behind my 250 so im guessing its for a 164T wheel
