Hello to all,:tiphat: My name is Colin, I live up in Big Sky Country, Great Falls Montana. I just signed on as another proud member of the Maverick/Comet Forum. I'm trying to restore a 75 Comet I'm happy to say I own. In particlar, I really need the passenger side fender trim. It's the slightly thicker style that arcs above the fender well. I guess you'd say it's thicker on either end with grained plastic inserts, while just chrome is exposed going over the fender well. My part originally had the white grained inserts, but another color would be fine, and just require a litlle repainting. Of course, (like everyone else trying to do a resto.) I need other items as well, but for now finding this piece would really be clearing a big hurdle for me. Any help would greatly appreciated. Glad to be On Board!

Passenger front or passenger rear? What is wrong with yours?

Hi Craig, I guess I did forget to state I need the Front passenger trim. My son originally had the car, and while he did, he smashed up the front fender. I replaced the fender, but it was missing the trim I need. I'll attach a picture of 'er, so you can see what I'm dealing with. Thanks in advance for any help you can give. Colin

    Colin welcome aboard.

I would suggest that you make a "Wanted" post in the Parts/cars wanted forum. You will likely get better chances of finding the parts you need

Welcome to the board, your car has the LDO option (Luxury Decor Option) so that trim is called LDO trim.

I have the trim for a 72 Comet passenger front fender, and need to get rid of it. Do you need the piece just lining the wheelwell, or the one that flows with the middle high-line of the fender? I don't see the wheelwell chrome on the pic, so I assume you need that piece in the center?

Mine is pretty good shape, if it hasn't been bunged up in the attic. I will take shipping and packaging charges and get it to you if you like. PM or email me and I will send pictures.

Also, do you need the plastic clips that snap it onto the fender?
