the 74 is running too rich. when i start it up it does good but after about a min it starts too run super rich and black smoke start pouring out of the exhaust. what do i do please help what should i set all my screws and what can i do to stop the rich running. it has the carter 1 barrel carb.
Make sure the screws that hold the main body to the throttle plate are tight. Just grab the top part of the carb and see if it's loose.
