Need Help Now S.o.s Help!!!!!!!

Ok well we dont get that much rain in arizona. and you all heard abought me removing my rust in the trunk. well i come home and pop the trunk. blam 3 inches of water in the left side of the trunk. how do i stop it. i checked the seal rubber thingy. and it was on there and dry.

 

Seems it would have to come from around the trunk gasket.
could have a leak in the rear window maybe????
Maybe the side marker light????
not to many choices on this one I believe....you could always do the ole water hose test.

 

Probably coming from the rear window seal.

 

look around the channel where the trunk seal fits and see if there are any pin holes in the channel. sometimes the seam sealer in the channel will crack and cause a leak..take the drain plug out untill you find the leak

I had a leak like that in my wife's Bonneville, and finally took it to the shop and let the "experts" fix it. They finally had to literally put a guy in the trunk with a flashlight and drive it through a carwash for about an hour before they found the leak.

Just a suggestion...but make sure you trust the driver so they don't leave you in there when you are done

 

This is where it came from in my '72. I'd take a bucket and dump a whole bunch of water over the back window, look for a stream of water running in on the panel just above the rear package tray area.

 

well i looked at my back window and there was about 1and a half inches of the rear window gasket gpone. it seems like it came in the back window ran over to the left and dripped down to the spot. im gonna calk the area mising and drill a hole at the bottom point where it was running down to.

 

done i have to let it dry b4 i test it but i thonk it is fixed

 

yes tested it and it is fixed thank god no more water in trunk but now time for the driver floor board.ok well i noticed when it rains that i get water on my floor mat. and it is coming off of my break pedal. where is the water from

 

I would speculate that in your dry region the windshield seal is toast and you have leaks via that.

i think it is the windshield i pured water into the cowl from the hose but no water in car.im gonna go look real quick. damn rain

 

well i put the hose on the windowseals and no water in the car. it only gets water on the floor when it rains if i wash my car there is no water on the floor. this is weird

 

My Stallion is as rustfree as any car you will ever find. Carlisle 04 it rained,,, imagine that, anyways, I had water on my passenger front floor for the first time ever. It was certainly the windshield seal, I did a quick reseal of it and it quit whistling when I drive down the road lol. I cant see a cowl vent rusting in AZ unless the car has migrated from some other region, or if the car has sat under some vegetation that would clog the vents and therefore retain water to rust the cowl vents out.

nope came from L.A. to tuscon az and sat in a barn or something like that. (my parents picked it up 4 me) but is it possible it has something to do with the wiper arm. im so confused how dose it leak when it rainsbut not when i wash it.
