Without knowing what you are starting with, it'll be hard to suggest a starting point.

That said, you'll be surprised how tough it will appear to get it that quick. Once you get there though, you'll be equally surprised how "easy" it was. Speaking from experience here. I remember years ago when our '75 was running 11's in the 1000'...and I still remember the day when it broke out and ran 10.96. I was ecstatic. Now I look back and think to myself, man...10's were a breeze. Now we're looking for 7's :coco:

Seriously though, give us a run down on what you've already done. Lots of folks on here can/will offer advice/suggestions.

a friend of mine has gone as fast as 11.68 on a $1500. engine . it is a 30 over

    302 ,12;1 dome pistons,ported 1969 351w heads,and a crane flat tappet cam.

the car weighs almost 3200 pounds with driver. he drives it everywhere.

my set up is little more expensive. i have a dss 306,10;1 comp. edelbrock

victor jr heads, and a street roller. a little faster, little more streetable, but

it costs approx. $5000.00 either way a good 11 second ride is not too difficult.

3.50-4.11 gears,Stealth or Performer RPM intake,650 carb,150HP nitrous shot should get you in the 11's.If you want to do it on "all motor"...the recipes are almost endless.Go to the timeslip database & see what the fast guys got going on.BTW if you're not opposed to the bottle,at least put in some forged pistons and ARP head studs & ARP rod bolts(cheap insurance).

Weight is cheap speed. Remove everything you do not need in the car.....seats can be put back in, spare tire.. so on and so on.
    Stickie tires.
    Traction bars.
    Gears
*** Advance the timing a couple degrees......you would be surprised what a little timing will do for your car.
    Good luck.
