ok my Question is: can a 351w block withstand boring 4.131 or 131 thousanths.
just asking becouse if I have to go with a dart block this deal I got is gonna cost me more than I thought. may have to replan. Right now I can get all the parts - (the block if I have to use a dart). to build a stroker motor with really high end parts (like yates heads, intake, wisco forged pistons, billet crank, and callies rods) for less than 2500 even if i have to buy the block its still a good deal right. oh it will be a destoked motor big bore small stroke and a lot of rpm uppwards of 9000

oem blocks are questionable at .060 over to the best of my knowledge. motorsports sportsman block or dart can go much more. my personal limit on oem 351w blocks is .040 over.

Don you are so right! MAX is .060 for a stock block. A dart block is MUCH thicker and is made for the stroker style pistons. If you have that kind of deal, TAKE IT!!!

    As always just my .02
