    I'm located in Houston, Tx. and I'm looking for a reputable transmission guy to possibly rebuild (got 204k miles)my Ford Explorer 5r55w trans. Sorry if I posted in wrong area. I gotta get this this truck fixed so I can get back to my Maverick. Got two weeks vacation scheduled to work on my '72 Grabber and now the tranny in my explorer starts acting up!

    You can call Mike Kurtz at Century Transmission in Richmond, he specializes in hipo GM trannies but can prolly give you a trustworthy recommendation...
