I would like some opinions on which wheels would look best for my car. I found a couple that I'm leaning towards....Crager SS and Keystone Classic. Common, I know...but look good.

    Thanks

Nice car and house!!! I think the Cragar SS is just one of those wheels that looks great on any car. Nothing says 70's better than a Cragar SS. That would be my choice. Second would be an original TorqThrust wheel. Dont care for the new ones.

I say crager also. I have 2000 mustang wheels. They look just like SS wheels.

Between the 2 Crager SS. I have had 2 sets of Keystone Classics on two different cars and both sets rusted and pealed to quickly but this was quite a few years ago. Maybe the new ones are better. I prefer torque thrust D's because I have them on my GT. They are the old style and hard to find. Next choice would be Magnum 500's. I also have a set of the small hubcaps that came on my 71 when new if any one is interested they only have about 700 miles on them have been put up since 71 are like new.

How about getting a wider set of steels for the back and keeping the dogpans & rings?

Hey Ronald,I'm interested in the small caps if they look like the ones on the lead car in this thread.

Cragar ss looks good on anything, a timeless design, I also like the 5 star I belive its called, looks kinda like old time slots and kinda like a 5 spoke wheel too. I just got rid of a set of 15 x 8's, wouldhave looked good on a Mav or Comet but they had to much offset, would have stuck out about 3 inches past the fenders! Guy I sold them to put them on a YJ Jeep, stick out on his too, but don't look bad 'cause its a 4x4. I'm going to use a set of turbine wheels on mine, came with the car, very 70's looking.

Ya know, you may have a point...they don't look too bad the way they are, kinda a "stock muscle look" definately need bigger tires in the rear. Don't the Magnum 500's have the mustang center cap? Everyone i see advertised does.

I used to have those '68-'69 GT rims with the GT center caps on my '65 Comet...they look sharp.........how do you think a set of those would look? :D They are 150 a piece plus 50 each for the GT center cap in Mustangs Unlimited. Take a look.

I strongly disagree I have had Keystone's on my Maverick for over 20 years and they are still in great condition no pealing and no rust. if you have them in the snow belt like Colorado of course they are going to rust and peal over time.

:tsk:  :coco: Keystones are one of the BEST looking wheels made besides t-thust,craiger ss,500s,ect.......Its all individual taste. What looks good to one person might look bad to the next. Thats what makes our hobby so GREAT! I would hate to see a bunch of Mavs whith only 2 or 3 styles of wheels on them. As far as wheels go the only one that has to like them is the owner - everyone else can look the other way! JMO:)
