Need parts for 73 comet, grill, etc....

    Hey, I just bought a 73 comet for my daughter but I didn't know it would be this hard to find parts for, I need a grill & bumbers for it, I don't know if the bumpers from a mav will fit, but I know the grills won't swap, and also, does anyone know of a HP oil pump for the 250 ci straight 6, it's got low oil presure and I don't want to rebuild it yet. Any help out there???

    The front bumper from a Maverick is completely different but I believe the rear bumper is the same. I have bought parts from my car from all over the USA. I don't expect to find parts close by anymore but, if I do, it certainly is a bonus. The Classifieds on this forum, Ebay or Craig's List are helpful but I also hear bad things about Craig's List sellers so just be careful. :tiphat:

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    1973 Comet bumper is the same as a 1973 Maverick bumper....it just mounts differently.

    I believe it is, but the filler panel is different to match the Comet grille. The same goes for my '74 except the bumper is bigger of course.

    70 + 71 +mav+73 comet
    I have a decent rear bumper for an early '73 Comet. I would think that it is the same as '71, '72 and '73. I don't think the width is any different. If you are interested in what I have please respond back and we can go from there.
