I am in thrash mode to get the Maverick done for this weekend at Sacramento..................since I neglected to take my front end specs, caster, camber and toe in before I tore the front end out and put in the Global West lower A arms and strut rods I just wondered if anyone with a drag only Maverick.........with a fairly stock front end new what their settings were. I have access to a rack.................can anyone help?
    Thanks,
    John

Don't know about drag only, but street settings with radial fronts I have:
    2 3/4* + caster
    0* camber
    1/16" toe-in

the alignment will need to be set at race height (nose raised slightly)

    0* camber

    1/16 toe in

3-3.5* positive cast for high speed stability

you may want to spend a little time with working on the bump steer. check the toe at different ride heights. i dont know if in all your upgraded steering parts you have a bump steer kit in the outer tie rod but its a good idea. if you can keep the bump steer at a minimum you will have the lowest possible rolling resistance as you go down the track.

Thanks Russ, sounds like a plan.
Last year when running the car with the old motor the car was nose high going through the traps and didn't settle down until my foot was off the gas........and that was with the old motor.

No, I looked at the "bump steer" kit Global West had and decided not to spend the $250 for it. When I get it aligned I'll look into the bump steer issue a little more closely..............since I didn't have an issue at 133mph last year I just hadn't thought about it.................thanks for bringing it up.

i would check for the amount of bump steer before you get the kit. you may not even need it.
i would think that you could make your bump steer kit with a rod end, some grade 8 bolts and washers.

You got me thinking yesterday and I actually went out and put the front end through it's paces today, loaded and unloaded like during launch and the bump steer looks pretty good................but we will wait till the motor and trans are in and everything is hook up to see for sure.
I'm sure I wouldn't need to spend the $200+ for a kit as I've looked at a couple and I think I can make my own.
    Thanks
