After owning my Mav for 6 years I finally got a new set of wheels and tires for it. They are 17x8 MB Old School wheels that I got from Discount Tire Direct. I wanted 17x7 on the front but they were on backorder for a couple months so I went with the 17x8 instead. The tires are 255/45 out back and 215/45 on the front. Let me know what you think

    I like those a lot!

I have been arguing with myself about 18s or 17, and those look great!

Can you post a shot straight on from the side, without any angle?

I would appreciate that, if you could. Wheels straight forward. I just want to see 1) how the rims look in proportion to the body size, and 2) how your 45 tires look compared to the body and rim size.

I will be using 225 on front, and 255 on rear, and your pics would help me figure out if I want more sidewall or not. Maybe a 50 or so.

I am currently using 60s on 15" rims, so I want to keep the same tire size while changing out the rim size, and the size of my sidewall will depend on my choice of 17s vs 18s.

Those wheels look awesome. I probably would have waited for the 7s to put up front, but as long as they don't rub, more power to ya. :thumbs2:

Thanks man! I've always liked the Bullitt wheels on these cars but I didn't like the idea of using spacers, so these fit the bill.

Thanks everybody for the compliments. And yeah, I had ordered 275/40 tires for the back but discount tire wouldn't sell them to me for an 8" wheel. They said I needed at least a 9" wide wheel but they don't offer these wheels in the right bolt pattern that wide, so I went with the 255s instead
