New Ball Joint

    Should there be this much space after istalling new upper B-Joint?

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    No...You have the wrong ball joint for your application.
    Wait a minute...Wheres the grease boot???
    If the stud is bottomed in the knuckle and you have threads protruding past the nut and the cotter pin in place... The grease boot will fill that void and you will be fine...
    Still, it seems theres too much stud above the knuckle.

    Mine looked like that without the boot..

    This forum is great with folks like you all helping to catch others mistakes. :bowdown: Put the boot in place, torqued everything so one side is done for drum to disc. Again thanx (y)
