I know it no big deal but I've been waiting to find a good one for a year and a half...finally found one:bananaman ...I'm a happy camper...can you tell:bananaman :bananaman :bananaman
i'm looking for a good small front bumper myself. the wrecking yard here told me he gets $250 for a maverick bumper but i get all the brackets he said. wow. been thinking for that price i might go to fiberglass bumpers on my 71 grabber and use them on my 73.
Don i got this one off e-bay for 250 shipping included...it had been rechromed 27 years ago...wrapped up and sitting in storage ever since...I polished it and it's perfect
Way to go Rick...look forward to seeing the car again. I just put my disc brakes on too but no since in posting a pic. Everybody would just think I stole your photo. Looks just like yours since I used the same rotors.
Cool beans Ray...have you had a chance to try them yet? just wandering how much difference you can tell. It will be awhile before I can try mine. Are you useing a proportioning valve or switching to a disc/drum master cylinder? I'd still like to see a pic if ya got one.
I'll be testing them out tomorrow. I had to order some longer shank lug nuts for my Centerlines. My drums had longer studs than these rotors so I'll see if these lugnuts will work. If so, it'll be easier than changing out all the studs. I bought a disc brake master cyl and I have the disc brake prop valve but I'll deal with all of that later. I have a big Cruise-In this weekend. All of the fittings are different sizes and are going to be a royal pain. I'll have to remake all the lines with new fittings up top. I'll post a pic for you this weekend.
Nice find Rick! I think bumpers (and re-chroming) are the number one most over-priced thing there is to buy for these cars. Sam
