I received my new door panels from Distinctive Industries today. I am very impressed, they look as close to the originals as possible and they even have cut out so you can use them with either style door. You cant see them in the pictures but they do have the cut outs for the clips. I just wish my stallion was ready for them.

Price you paid, and where did you purchase?
    Thanks.

Wow, those look great. Not sure I like the way they did the staples on the back, but nice nonetheless.

Nice to know you can instll any door panel style on any year Maverick Comet, allowing the owner to install the door panel style he/she likes the best.
Also, those that wish to install power windows may do so, and install the switch wherever they wish on the new panels.

Melvins sells them for $325.00 for the set, and they are worth it. I had a set made by a friend that has an upholstery shop here in TN. they look good but they are not as good as these and they cost me ~$400.00 for the set. There is a person that sells them on ebay for $395.00 and states that they are made in North America.
I will be getting at least 2 more sets.

Looks really nice. I like that later style insert a lot, too.

Food for thought ... instead of the stock clips, maybe use industrial-strength Velcro.

The cut outs for the mounting clips are there, most are on the vinyl line but the vinyl is also perforated. I guess they did it that way so the buyer could mount them any way they wanted, good idea I think.
I will take some better pictures and post them when I get home.
Melvin's charges about $25.00 for shipping to east Tennessee.

They're under the vinyl, but that really shouldn't be an issue.
