    Lincoln Mark VIII LSC. It's a '97 so I'll need to find a way around the PATS, but that's not too bad.

    Simple. When you have the chip done for the computer have them disable the PATS. No problem. Your next problem: Shock Towers!

    Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
    have fun with that one....

    looks more like you'll ned a Mustang II suspention if you ask me. i seen that engine that thing is as wide as heck.

    aint it wider then 460?

    No problem there either. I'm going with a Rod and Custom motorsport M2 front end. I've also heard that you can repin the connector to work with a '96 computer without PATS.

    It's either just as or wider than a 460. I know the 5.4 DOHC is WAAAAAAY wider than the 4.6 because it's a taller deck.

    I need to find out how hard it's going to be to shoe horn a T56 into the trans tunnel too. Might be a lot of sheet metal fabricating by the time I'm done. I'll post some picks of the car it's going into when I remember to bring the CD into work. Calling it rough is very generous. I'm going to have to replace all the floors, so while I'm in there I might take a whack at the tunnel too. It was stored with water in it, so the low spots are destroyed, but everything else is pretty nice, kinda. Eh... The front end is going away and I'm contemplating a forward tipping fiberglass front end to replace the fenders, hood, and bumper etc. That would be pretty cool IMO. There is the normal rust behind each wheel, and that isn't too bad. The roof and tunnel and rockers are still solid though, so that's the only thing that justified the $100 I paid for it. Oh, it didn't come with seats or carpet and the dash is a little f'd up too. It's a project though so I can deal with that.

    I've seen anywhere from 525 to 535 lbs fully dressed. I'll only need a water pump and alternator though, so that will knock a bunch of accessory weight off. The heads are about 68 lbs a piece fully assembled, and the block is 86 lbs bare. There is a lot of metal on these DOHCs. The heads are massive and there is a lot of metal around the crank too. The early aluminum blocks are a little heavier than the late models I think, but they're much stronger. They're cast in Teksid Italy. They have more metal where it counts and I think are a different allow than the US made blocks too. These blocks can handle horsepower north of 600 all day long. My goal right now is to just make it go. After that I'll save up for a rebuild and some go fast goodies.

    John Mihovitz at Accufab makes 1886 hp with his 4.6 4 valve modular engine. Twin 76mm turbos. Stock block. The heads are actually 76 lbs. each fully assembled. Now you know why Ford used an aluminum block! PS: The crank is fine. Check your other thread.
