If I should decide to drop a 302 ci in my 1974 Maverick, would I be able to hook it straight up to the tranny, or would I have to buy a new one. The one I have now is just a three speed automatic. Will she fit?

As has been said many times here if the car has a 250 I6 w/c-4 it will bolt right up. Just make sure you have a 157 tooth flex plate on the 302. If the car has a 200 I6 you will have to change the bell housing on the tranny and it may not last very long if you decide to hot rod it a little. Do you have the Frame mounts and the double hump trans cross member for the transplant?

No sir, he no more needs a 302 than I need a hole in the head....Im his Dad, and the 6 cylinder is fine (well sorta). Got alot of work to do, but that's the last thing the car needs....
