Yeah thats pretty cool but honestly it doesnt seem very hard to make a set of door panels if i had a roll of vinyl some cardboard and a sewing machine i could make some easily.
I have all those things and i still dont make any lol. I did make some panels for the falcon though. Just plain jane flat ones let me try and locate the pic i have.
you could not make those for that price the first 10 would not be perfect and they would be wasted material so leave it to the pros. and stick to just buying them
I agree with what this guy is saying....but at the same time, some folks do not have the cash to stick to just buying them and some have the skill to do it and some can make a set that is good enough to satisfy them. Its all up to the person. I bought a set that someone made. I got them cheap and I am very happy with them. I am sure I could make a set that would look real good if I put my mind to it.
Ya,if you can afford to buy them thats cool... I was lucky enough to get a good set with my 71.... Pinky, I like your door panels,were they made by a local shop ?
i think that's a good price for new panels myself. i have several sets of originals that i have collected over the yrs that would be hard to replace if i got rid of them. i also have a car right now (70 grabber) that has the same style panels in it as the one pinky pictured that someone had made and they look good as well. it's all in how far a person wants to go
not sure who made them, they were on sale here a while back, no bites at $200. The guy put them on ebay with a starting price of $50. I was the only bid
and in what direction a person wants to go If your going stock original, then obviously the price is likely going to be higher based on supply and demand. If your going to your taste only, then the price may dictate the taste For me, I just wanted something, clean and cheap. If it would have been original or custom, it did not matter to me, but it does to some. Thats what makes this hobby so much fun.....different strokes for different folks.
Yeah i could never make "stock door panels" But if i had a sewing machine i could make some kind of design.
i sent the seller a message and got a reply. im going to do what i can to help with the development of these panels, along with the development of the 70-72 deluxe panels as well. if everything goes well, ill keep everyone informed
