We are the new owners of a 74 Maverick with a 75 comet engine,(302) I don't know much about it but we bought it because our 16 year old daughter wanted something (different) then the other kids at school had.We have a few questions that we help answering. Thanks Mike.

I'm also fairly new to the whole maverick scene myself. I recently bought my maverick (june 2003) and have been fixing it up ever since. I think i can speak for most of the members on this board, Mavericks are fun cars and you get lots of looks in them. I personally allways get comments like "you never see many of these around" the first time i drove my car after it got painted, i parked it at a muffler shop, and 3 people started to circle it. Recently while buying new rims i had a guy talk to me for like half an hour about my car. They're diffinately great things to own.

Welcome to the board. Two things that you should know are: 1. Do not put air-shocks on your Maverick (if it has them, get rid of them). -and- 2. If your Maverick does not have front disc brakes, get it converted to discs A.S.A.P.
