Hi, I am from ohio and just purchased a 73 4 door Maverick with 23,000 original miles. Automatic, radio, and power steering. 250 six cylinder It had not been started since 1990 and has spent it life in a garage.I am in the process and replacing belts, hoses, and everything else I can think of that would deteriorate with age and get it back on the road. I was surprise it did try to start when I poured gas into the carb. Found out fuel pump isn't working so I got one ordered. No parts stores around here know what a Maverick is and tried to sell me a electric pump. I want to keep this car nice. Maybe change the wheels. I have a nice set of kelsey Hayes wheels off a Fairlane I might mount. I would like to boost the performance up a little. Not to radical even though I read on other sites these engines can be modified heavily. Thanks for letting me in this forum and look forward to input from others who have a appreciation of a underated Ford.
From Atlantic Canada! I purchased my Grabber from the second owners who were in Mansfield, Ohio... Looking forward to seeing pictures of your progress.
Welcome to the site from northeast Ohio!!! I use the websites of Auto Zone, O'Reilly and NAPA to find needed parts. I just take a printed picture of the part along with it's number to the store. Many items are in stock due to the close association of our cars with Mustang.
