I just bought my first maverick. It's a 1970 . I want to make it a street drag car. from what I have been reading on the forums is the best rim size with out sticking out is a 15x8 with 4 inch backspcing. I want to run a 26 8.5 M/T slick Does this sound correct? Doing caltracs with a 9 inch all stock dimentions

    THANNK YOU

    :Welcome:to the site!!!!!

For that size tire with a stock width rear an 8 in wide wheel with a 4 inch backspace should work fine.....

I haven't been able to even see the car. Sucks because I want to start working on it. I did buy the aje front kit though but I'm waiting to start working On it to buy more things.
As of pics the car is pritty much a basket case right now . Need a lot of tlc, nobody really did anything with it
