Hey everyone! Does anyone on here have any 1977 mercury comet parts or ones that will work? I need a dash pad, a mercury comet hood emblem, a headliner a comet badge, and a passenger side door panel. I'm located in Williamsport Pennsylvania. If I find these parts my project is complete!

    Welcome to the Maverick world.

You can buy headliners brand new.

    :Welcome:

Dash pads are not reproduced, but any Maverick/Comet (1970-77) dash pad will fit your car. It may be hard to find a suitable donor. An alternative is a dash pad cap, made of plastic.

Hood emblems are also not fully reproduced. Emblem Magic reproduces the center plastic section ($$$), you just need a nice surround. Instead, you can find used ones in good shape, and even a few NOS ones floating around. There is a decent one on eBay right now as a matter of fact: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1976-ford-c...Parts_Accessories&hash=item54140f7dbf&vxp=mtr

Badges (Comet scripts) are easily available used, both B pillar and dashboard versions. Find them here or on eBay.

Like Craig said, headliners are reproduced.

Door panels are not reproduced. You will need to find a donor.

For the used parts, I would suggest placing an ad in the "Wanted" section. Be specific about color, style, etc. For reproduced parts, check out Melvin's Classic Ford Parts and Autokrafters.

Thank you for the information. I'm trying to buy everything from donor cars since it is cheaper for me to restore the parts than buy new. Once the car is complete I will be putting it up for sale. I will place an add on the wanted section when I arrive home.

Yeah it's going to be hard to do since I saved it from a man scrapping it so long ago. I was told the original owner was the man who owned Jasper Engines. Once he passed away the car floated around in the family until I got it.

Nope I lucked out my total investment is $2500 paid in full, I'm just helping my crew find the parts. Unless you're telling me I couldn't get more than that for it. If that's the case I am in fact, screwed lol.

I haven't really seen a 77 comet fetch more than $1500 but that may be because you still need to smog them in california

I've seen barn finds selling for $1500-2500 that ran but looked destroyed otherwise. I'm not sure what it will actually sell for. I guess it depends on what a buyer is willing to pay.

What color of door panel do you need? I have many other parts as well and am located in Southern Idaho.
