Hello all, I own a 1970 Maverick and a 1971 Maverick. The '70 has been in our family since the early 80's, but after sitting outside too much, it is only good for parts now. A Grabber driver's door was put on it at some point (also repainted orginially green and black), and the only glass left that I probably won't use is that glass. It might be parted out when I'm done with it. We think the original color was Original Cinnamon, but we repainted it in the past and are unsure. It's a 200 automatic and has a completely trashed black interior. The 1971 is Winter Blue with a factory white top and blue interior. It does not have a motor, but it also was originally a 200, but this one has a manual 3-speed column tranny (we still have that). The '71 is worth restoring. I have already found GREAT information on this forum. Thank you! WinterBlue71
from Northeast Pennsylvania Both of those cars should yield lots of good parts for someone needing them. So what's next? Find another Maverick in better shape?
Welcome aboard! That blue one does look pretty good and the other one has lots of great parts so don't take it to scrap till you strip the heck out of it. You got a lot of company too. We have lots of Ga Maverick members. If you need anything, just advertise it on here. You'll likely find somebody pretty close to ya.
Thanks for the welcome guys. Ever since the 70 was wrecked, it hasn't been driven on the road. The 70 still has parts left, like the red line speedo. The front valance will need work if I sell it. The windshield is cracked and the rear window and passenger's side glass is broken. As of right now, the only things I absolutely know I'll be using off the 70 are the dash pad, driver's side quarter window, and engine. From the photos I've posted (more pics coming), is there anything of use on the 70 to anyone? WinterBlue71
