hello,im just getting started with surfing the net.Ive got 2 70 mavericks,a 72 comet and a 75 maverick 4-door.heres the details on them so far.The 75 4-door used to be a sleeper kind of car with a 5.0 & nitrous. It ran a best of 12.41@109 at fun ford in bristol,tn.Now that combo is in the 70 2-door & might be faster if I can ever get it finished. The 72 comet also has a 5.0,but its got a stock gear & converter, more of a driver than the 75 was.The other 70 I just got.The paint &body are pretty nice but it needs several, shall we say "moronically engineered" quick fixes tended to.The tranny lines need rerouted, the signals dont work, the exhaust must have been done in the dark.....but its a good solid car with a black interior, grabber hood&rear spoiler and a decent running 302 & c4 trans. As soon as I figure out how to put them on Ill post some pictures of all my junk.

Tim, glad to see you found the board. It's always great to see fellow Maverick/Comet owners find this site. I agree with Jean, feel free to post some pics when you get chance! By the sound of your car collection, it sounds like you have the Maverick bug as well! :D (y)

Thanks everyone for the welcome.Just to let everyone know,Ive been messing with these cars since I was 15(my first car was a 73 grabber, still got it,really rusty)so Ive been saving them from the crusher for years.Ive got about 9 parts cars lying around,so if you need something I may have it.No, I dont have any grabber hoods, small bumpers or valance panels.Even here in Chevyville that stuff gets gone as soon as someone within 50 miles finds out Ive got one(or a pair,or a set....)anyway,does anyone know of a set of headers(shorties maybe?)that will fit a 302 c4 combo with the column shift? If so,would you happen to have a part #,personal useage of said headers,or did a friend of afriend use a set?I would like to put some on the comet, but I dont want to cut a hole in the floor.Help me so it can breath a little & maybe run a bit better.Thanx.
