We were staying with the ford theme, Thought the ford blue would let everyone know it was ford, not (Hey thats a nice camaro) like I read on an earlier post. Black would have been cool too but When Tanner and I talked about color we agreed ford blue would give her some charactor.
All in all thank you everyone for your thumbs up. Its alot of fun for both of us to be able to share our progress with everyone out there and to be part of there's too. Thanks, next step, plasma cutting and assembling new frame rail tails. We have a friend who has taken alot of interested in this father/son project and happens to own a metal laser shop, he says he can pattern the frame rails and cut new tails that will be better than original. when we do this we will post some pretty cool pics. I also told him if he can pull this off there would be some guys here that would be interested in talking to him. We will see how that all works,we need to pattern them and get the ball rolling on that next week. Until then my family wishes all of your's a happy easter. Mav on!!

yes it looks really nice against the red copper. Its a ldo interior thats in the best shape. carpet is original no cracks on dash, headliner is perfect.Tanner whats to do the top in a camel color to resemble interior. The car originally had a vynal top so the halo trim is still in tack. The cammel color against the red copper is really classy. Our painter says that combo will calm the red copper down a bit. Hopefully it will be in his shop here in the next week or two. Can' wait!

Looks great. Love that red color against the aluminum engine parts. Aluminum rad would look really nice against that red.
Do me a favor though and buy a new starter solenoid before your done. All that pretty red needs a nice shiny new solenoid. :thumbs2:

yea, yea, I know the battery is going in the trunk and we will replace it. Good eyes guys, everyone else looked past that or just didn't say anything.Did you notice the bungie cord? custom mod,Tought I would write a tech article on that one. Ha,Ha! Ah,just kiddin. As you guys know all this stuff takes time and when your a inspiring rookie like myself it even takes longer. We did get tanners tach in and worked on cleaning up some left over electrics from the air cond. Did a spring clean on the garage, after all winter of us working in there the was inches of dust on everything. After we were done it was sure nice to pull the Mav. into a clean garage. Always makes workin a little nicer.
