    Hi all,

As you may know I have been attempting to get a custom export brace built, by the same factory that made the Monte Carlo bar. Long story..short, I have taken that work elsewhere. I have been promised a prototype will be ready b4 May 15.

Today, I am picking up a Shelby Drop tool, that will allow you to correctly lower the upper control arms, by either the standard 1" or 1-1/2". I will give the members here a good discount on these. I will also be selling em on eBay. Look for a posting in the for sale section later tonight. With pictures.

Now, here is an entirely new product that, I will be reviewing a proto type of today. A heavy duty belly bar. What's a heavy duty belly bar?
It will mount to the existing frame holes, plus tie into the lower control arm pivot points. Total control sells a belly bar for Mustangs, that does the same. Mine is an entirely different design, that I will offer for Mavs and Comets. I will also make a version for Mustangs. In the Mustang world these are sometimes called road race cross members. That together with the M/C bar, eccentric eliminators, lowered UCA and export brace will enhance the cornering of your Mav-Comet.

I know, what about sub frame connectors? They are knocking around in my head. I want my design to not only attach to the sub frames, but also tie into the rockers.

I am having so much fun at this, (in spite of the problems getting the export brace produced), that in January, I started a business to run this thru. When you order from me you get an invoice from Chassis Connection LLC. That name pretty much sums up my thinking on Mav parts.

I really feel bad that I let the cat out of the bag on the Export brace, and then was not able to deliver in a timely manner. Now, I am telling you, IT IS COMING SOON.

I will continue to make sure that these parts are of the highest quality.
Thank you, all, who have bought my parts.

    "And connect to each other?"

Yes, but also having a crossmember for transmission upgrades. Like I said, still knocking around in the noggin. Several months out

bob, i really like they way you are approaching things. less talk, more to the point than a lot i've seen before. i have the feeling that you will come up with a lot of nice ideas for the mav/comet community.

sign me up for the export brace, i will definitely get one!

    Update:

Have reviewed the proto type heavy duty belly bar. Made some tweeks and expect a revised proto type monday.

Export brace will be tackled next.

Always nice to see things make it from thought to product without getting lost in the shuffle (as has been the case MANY times here). Keep it up!

2005 Rx8 with mods... hopefuly some time soon I will have another maverick and have time to work on it!
I'm always excited to see the final product of things even if I don't end up purchasing. I guess that's why my wife gets mad at me when I complain about her throwing away my Summit and Jeggs magazines.

Does it require removing the rear eccentric and if so, is the eccentric plate included in the brace?

The entire factory eccentric set would be replaced with my kit.
