New proud owner of a 72 Maverick

    Hey there mates, today i got my Maverick 72 and just wanted to say hello and to get to know the community. I live in Israel and its been a dream of mine to own a car like that. its my second car as i'm only 18 and i plan on taking a good care of her :). first thing first:

    The hood. Its in bad shape, really bad. the weather here in Israel is not so "kind" to old cars ( there is a bit rust but nothing major. i can handle it :).)

    any tips on how i can restore the hood?. buying a new one from the internet is a real problem and there isn't much maverick cars that i can strip for parts.

    the car should get to me in about a few hours so i will upload photos of the car and hood soon.

    sorry if my English is not that good (definitely not my first language).

    What does the badge on the driver side fender say or look like?
    Right off I see the mirrors are different and she has ground effects. The rear spoiler seems different also..
