I have been working with Auto Krafters on getting some parts reproduced. I am pleased to announce that these parts are now finished and ready for purchase:

Alternator Splash Shield: This shield was only on 6 cyl factory air conditioning Mavericks/Comets. This shield mounts on the frame just under the alternator.

I beg to differ ... my Grabber had one of those shields on it ... no A/C ..

My Alternator was mounted low passenger side on the 200 CI engine ... no A/C and no P/S ... I assume depending on whether you car had these options determined whether your alternator was High Mount or Low mount. I am guessing Low mount alternators got this shield?

Here's the low mount alternator and the green is where it gets attached using plastic rivets ...

I knew it reminded me of something but couldn't place it. Yup, your right. I remember them well (now). My brother had one.

I did not know that. That would expand the possible users of this product.

Anybody else got a picture of one still on a 200 6 cyl car?

I have never seen a Maverick/Comet with one of those, but then again I've only ever had 2 6-cylinder cars, the rest have all been V8's. Dan, thanks for the pic of where it goes!

My '73 2 door has something similar on it, but it's a little different. Factory 250, 3 on the tree, A/C car. I never paid much attention to it, I'm going to just rip it off and trash it. I'll see about getting a picture of it tomorrow.

Here is the one on my '73. I guess it is the same as the one Craig posted, I didn't think it was for some reason. This car also has the reinforced shock towers, and it may just be my imagination, but the rear leaf springs appear to be thicker also. Car has a 12 DSO, Buffalo, NY. 250/3 on the tree with A/C seems like a strange combo to begin with, but A/C on a Buffalo, NY car? :hmmm: :rofl2:
