Big race scheduled for this Saturday. 2007.00 payout. Plan on making it but the rain is going to be a issue to look at. 347 is ready, but need to sort out some things with it, before twisting it up hard. Got the gasoline primer system installed yesterday, hope it makes the cold weather starting of the alky injected beast, a bit easier. Also got holt of a start/retard MSD unit, off ebay. 12.5 cr, makes for some start problems too, especially running the MSD advance locked out. By the way, did I mention I hate winter and hate rain and all the other stuff with it. Come on spring and flowers and warm sun and "Racin"

Good luck Dave. There's going to be a Headsup Street Car race at Fulton, Ms this Sunday too. But like you said, weather may be an issue.

    Good luck.

We have the "Hangover Nationals" at one of our local tracks this weekend.

My heads haven't even come back from the machine shop yet so I won't be there, but I might go watch a friend and his 8.3X Size Large Turbo Mustang.

I don't think so! Just eyballing the tantallizing models, within their confines. Sun is in and out today, 58 degree's, loaded and ready to go. Hope the luck is on both our sides. The need for speed is still there.

I got the mustang to get spark, but not fire.. think the carb is junk.
Got the new door hinges for my truck, so will prob be doing that as well.

I hope you kick some ass and take names :)

Wish you could make it, but get your stuff done first. Probably will end up a test and tune for me, seeing how the motor is new and will need some sorting out. Got a new outlook this year, "The Old Guy is going to put them all on the trailer" May the force be with us all..:drive:

Well maybe you'll get to go a few rounds.

I'd love to make it, but you know how it is... i have a hard time sitting and watching. I get the itch all over again. All i gotta get is mufflers/headers and a tranny crossmember for the motor swap and i'll be headed up that way.

Depends on how the kid acts if I make it. I may try and take him, but we've got to go to his great grandmothers funeral tomorrow and he has taken it very hard.

Damn right we like to race :)
Its in our blood. My kid came out of his mother going "vroom vroom vroom" lol j/k but darn near it.
He loves race cars, trains and motorcycles.

He'll get a kick out going down the track the first time with his daddy :)

I'm with Andy. I love to race..doesn't matter what it is, I'll race it. 4 wheeler, bikes, tricycles, creepers, hot wheels...anything. We have drag races where I work all the time. Usually the little kid's tricycles as it's a hoot. Then last night I was out with a friend, and she wanted to have an eating race..to see who could eat faster. I didn't win..but I can guarantee you that I feel a lot better today than she does!

Wish I could've gone today...had to work again. I needed the money though. I'm hearing that the local track has cut down the number of bracket races, though...which is a real bummer to most of the regular bracket guys who choose not to run heads up saturday nights. Thats ok though, gives us a chance to visit other tracks & meet new friends & fellow racers; as well as spend time on other things that usually get put off until an off week.

Guess we'll have to invest in a little bit of nitrous for the mustang huh? lol run heads up with it. Hopefully I can get a good set of heads headed my way after tax time, but prob will just pay off some bills instead.

Looks like you may not be racing today either, as the ground is very wet outside. but hopefully you will get to race.
