Greetings! Sure are a lot of new people on the forums from Canada lately. Good to have you here. Tell us more about yourself and your Maverick/Comet and by all means, post pictures if you can.
My Car 1970 Maverick, full race drag car, 514 cubes, powerglide, 2 alcohol toilets, car weighs 2200 with me in it, runs 5.5's in eigth and 8.70's in quarter, just added spray and am trying it this weekend, Aug 14-15, should be able to run a high 4 , I hope and around high 7's or low 8's in qtr. Thanks, Dave
Hello Dave .... and WOW! Can't wait to see pics of your car and good luck hitting the 4's. There's a guy down here who is running a SBC (Camaro) and has run a best of 4.72 in his small block (w/nitrous). I would LOVE to see a Ford, especially a Maverick, running those (altitude corrected) numbers. Welcome to the board! Rick
My Track I race at a track called Shannonville, in Ontario, Canada, (my home track), and we have 2 ihra tracks where we run the national events, Grand Bend and Toronto motorsports park, altitude is approx ? ft, i dont remember exactly, density altitude is anywhere from 800's up to 2800. Thanks Dave.
5.07 @ 138 Ran 5.07 last night on a 100 shot, I didnt get the proper jets for my 200 shots with the kit , I now have 2 and 300 jets that i picked up from a top sportsman friend of mine after I left the track last night. The track is around 20 mins from my house so I am just leaving for the track now, I should be able to dip into the 4's if the air is good. Will I be some happy if I can run a 4 something:bananaman I pay $10 cdn for a lb of nitrous, $100. a bottle, what are the U.S prices for juice where you are from? I will post tonight if I get back early enough, its the track operators, 34th aniversary so I will stick around the track for some of the celebration . Thanks, Dave
