Just starting to seriously look into Mavericks. Basically looking for a car to bracket race. I have a '64 Falcon with a mildly built 260 that I bought as my first car at 15. But I have also developed a new interest in the Maverick.
My parents first new car was a '73 Maverick Grabber.:)

31 Years later, I find myself looking for the same thing.

    Thanks

welcome to the board, flybyford. mavericks are a great car to bracket race. what class do you want to race? how fast do you want to go? 347 will fit in the maverick with few problems. anything bigger and you probably want to modify the shock towers. i run low 12's with a .040 over 302. did you go to the funford weekend at vmp? there were about 10 or 11 mavericks and comets there. lots of fun. good luck.:)

WELCOME TO THE BOARD FlyByFord . I HAVE A 72 COMET THAT WOULD BE GREAT FOR RACE OR RESTO, NOT SURE WHICH BECAUSE IT HAS ALMOST PERFECT INTERIOR AND ALL #'S MATCHING 6CYL W/ AUTOMATIC. I WAS GONNA USE IT FOR PARTS ON MY 73 MAVERICK GRABBER BUT I KEEP TELLING MYSELF NOT TO MESS UP SUCH A NICE CAR .BUT I WILL KEEP MY EYE OUT FOR ANOTHER 73 LIKE MINE FOR YOU. WELL GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN WITH IT.
