I am a noob to your list but not a noob to the automotive world. I learned to drive in a '64 Ford Falcon and my first car was a '67 Ford Galaxie that was soon to be followed by a '73 Ford Maverck w/ 302 and 3 on the tree. I just found a 1972 Maverick Grabber with a 200 I6 and the C4 automatic. I am going to try to find out if this is a numbers matching car before I decide to put a V8 in it. I also am trying to find out what a good baseline for timing would be for this car due to the fact that I have been unable to locate a Haynes or a Chiltons manual for it. I guess I will have to take my rear to the library if all else fails. The car is a 1972 Maverick Grabber 200 I6 C4 tranny (on column).
To the board. Always great to see another Virginian on here. What part of the state are you located in? On the manual thing check with Craig Selvey. He always seems to have some available. Good luck on the new maverick. Later Tim
Yeah those are nice, the first year for the Torino body style. I have a lot of Ford restoration projects going on right now.
