just replaced upper control arm shafts. Are 90 degree zerks too tight or should I use straight ones and drill holes to lube them? mac
Couple of the Mustang places sell the 90 degree zerks, and they are flatter than the conventional zerks. National Parts Depot is where I got mine. Don't torch if you can help it.
special zerks Max Power...........can't seem to find any flatter zerks. Called NPD, Napa and 1 Mustang store, they want a part #, and the regular ones will not work. Could you possibly get a part # or I'd even send cash to you for these parts. This is holding up the project.............mac
There ya go. Cant find my NPD catalog, so use the Mustangs Unlimited part number above. They are even flatter than the 90 degree universals that you can get. You should put them in before the control arms though. Much easier that way.
zerks great! thanks, yeah, control arms are sitting on floor waiting. Ill get on this right now :bananaman
Zerks Scrapper60.......is that $18.95 for a zerk fitting only or some other part included? Seems expensive for just a zerk. My 800 # for classic mustang dont work for some reason; do you have one on hand?
That $18.95 is for 4 extra long fittings, 4 right angle adaptors, and a special wrench to install them with the arms on the car. http://www.mustang-unl.com/aspfiles/itemdy00.asp?UID=2004040823075320&T1=610041+01

cost $83.88 ea... Wow! Most places don't charge that much for both sides. Just so happens I just finished replacing mine yesterday. Think I paid $35 each for mine.
